Pickup Peccatum

Saw this truck the other day. Is there a time when a paint job becomes
morally wrong?

Cars Make Faces

Car s have always looked like people to me. The eyes are the headlights, and
the nose and mouth are located in the front grill.
Some c ars have really square faces, and I equate them to men; the ones with
the smooth rounded faces are lady cars. I suppose I have a juvenile
imagination, because it brings me great pleasure to identify the face a car
is making.

Black And Blue -Berry?

I'm a user and a fan, but I often feel strongly drawn to competitors myself.
It's going to be an interesting next 18 months for RI M.

Driving through South Surrey the other day, saw another Plum 350Z. They're
multiplying!

PETA Power?

I can't stand when people leave animals in the car. Why take your pet on a
ride if you don't intend on letting him enjoy the destination? There's
something to be said about a PETA member who would act so cruel to their
personal animal; it's a little more than hypocrisy, in my opinion.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the little fellow here in Maple Ridge who
fell from the 2nd storey window yesterday.

Neo-Soulisms

Although not indigenous to my area, I would say that neo-soul music is my
favorite genre. the smooth
sounds of acoustic guitars and
crooning stars remind me of the
melodic hum that my mother used when putting me to bed as a child. The soul
of an artist comes out in neo-soul music, and its
easier to enjoy the music
when you can tell that it was created for enjoyment. =

Game Time

My favorite thing to do when I'm extremely bored is play video games. I
really love thrill of a well written video game; you can tell that an
artist, writer, and dreamer was hard at work when
you encounter a well-made game. I
aspire to one day make a game that encompasses my creativity. =

Nationalist Meme

How are we to move along as a people if we reject the things that propel us to action? The dumb
overshadow the wise, and in this current state of hyper-conformity, there looks
to be no real movement to action. What is a leader to do when
she knows her flock won't follow?

Vancouver Girl

Having a girl in Vancouver is tough. It seems like the
attitudes of young women have changed dramatically since I was a girl, and given
the
things that are shown on TV and movies
nowadays, it does not surprise me that more and more young girls are becoming pregnant at
earlier ages. What's a mother to do, when she's done all she can to help her
daughter understand the ills of society?

Change is Good?

Something tells me that our area is due for a drastic change. Given the
Olympics being here recently, I've observed some major changes to our town,
and
some are not for the better. Is there a way to appease the masses while
staying true to your constituents? I think that the answer is no.

Best of YouTube

I don't watch as many movies as I used to. Largely because I'm less often
up for a 90-120+ minute commitment. Too lazy. I watch a lot of TV, especially PVRed or acquired from the netosphere.
Discovery Channel, History Channel, Food Network. Aqua Teen.

There's a huge amount of entertainment to be had in snippets of even less
than 24 or 48 minutes, too. Here's this week's Best of YouTube.

Let me know how you liked it.

Hidden Powers of Rain

Rain is the cure for life's
ailments; in the rain
your tears are guarded, and in
its noise your cries are not heard. Instead of loathing the rain today, I will embrace it for
its healing powers. _ I'm a mother, blogger, and fashion expert who enjoys ethnic dining and

Composting and You

Recycling is not only good for the environment, it is good for your soil;
composting is a great way to keep your gardens growing healthy and strong.
Remember to preserve all of your old food waste to add to your garden today!

Stomping with the Big Dogs

Whoever said that ra inboots are just for children told a really bad lie! I wore my rainboots
to work today, and received so many compliments that the shoe store called and gave me a huge
discount on a new pair! The power of word-of-mouth marketing is ever
present! I'm a mother, blogger, and fashion expert who enjoys ethnic dining and

Chocolate Rain

I love to embrace my husband when its raining. Thunder and lighting brings a
surge to our relationship, and ignites a spark in our hearts. After looking
at the forecast, I noticed that it is going to rain for quite some time; I
couldn't be happier.

Ladybugs and Unique Love

Volkswagen Beetles are my absolute favorite car. the body is so cool; I just
love how it is shaped, and the engine being in the back is neat as well. I think
that if I could improve one thing on the car, it
would be to give the interior
a bit more space.

Happy Victoria Day Weekend!

Happy Victoria Day weekend, everyone!

Latest Toy

My latest toy-- no, TOOL. Bell Turbostick. Over the last week I've lost at least 25 hours of
productivity due to net connections I've depended on being down/unavailable.

I took steps. I'm home all day today and tomorrow, so haven't yet cracked
the box. Looking forward to it, though!

Small Girl, Big Truck

I've always wanted a big, overbearing truck. It's something about a petite
woman driving a big truck that screams "get out of the way!" In my life,
people tend to overlook me because of my size; with my new big truck, I can
now let everyone know who I am!

Questioning Manhood

Sometimes men choose to get cars that fulfill a need in their lives; this is
especially true of my friend. He's not the best looking guy, but his
car is most definitely a beauty! Its really small and very fast though, so I wonder
what that says about his... manhood.

Music Philosophy

Sometimes music has the power to transcend into positivity; when listening to a song, I sometimes feel inspired to perform a positive feat. Perhaps it’s the gentle mental conditioning that the repetitive nature of songs has on the psyche; it may also be that the good energy transmitted from the artist to the listener inspires the listener to change. Whatever the reason, I love positive tunes.

PB & J Magic!

Sometimes the best food is the simpliest; I had a peanut butter and jelly sandwich today that tastes as if the gods themselves created it. As I finished thelast bite of my wonderfully minimalistic sandwich, I took a second to ponder why it is that my discerning palette was so pleased with something as basic as an All-American peanut butter and jelly sandwich.

Modern Jewelcrafter

I love to make jewelry! I've always been a big vintage and costume jewelry connoisseur, and after discovering that you can make pieces using old jewelry, I was hooked! There are a lot of resources that you can find online to help you get started in your hobby, but some of the best information that you can find will come from books at your local library.

May 12

On this day in 1941 Konrad Zuse presented the Z3, the world's first working programmable, fully automatic computer, in Berlin.  In a sense one could trace this post's genesis to that red-letter day.

Battletech

These are the kind of people I hang out with:

You haven't played Battletech? You are missing an important Geek Badge. We can play from 2 - 20 players, but its best with 2 - 4 though. And we can also play a couple different ways: against each other or a cooperative campaign. Like other games, units go by points make sure each side is balanced. In Battletech, the points are regulated by tonnage. So playing against each other we would choose a tonnage such as 100. Then each player could play one huge 100 tonne mech or a number of smaller mechs adding up to 100 tonnes. Then we would start at different areas of the map and go at it. The less tonnage, the faster the game goes. Or we can play a senario where you guys fight against an enemy I control. I have a book with a whole campaign for players to take over a small planet starting with a dropship invasion. Its pretty cool. We could pick any senario in the book.
I'm the one who hasn't played Battletech.  I repent.

Captured In Video

It's said that video games have become a larger industry than movies. They distract us from queue waits with our iTouch, they become pseudonovels on the PC, they promote superhuman hand-eye coordination on consoles, they help us gain wieght and escape drudgery through WoW.

This blog is a scrapbook of fact & fantasy. What is written here is a mixture of reality and fiction created as entertainment and pastime. It may on occasion contain helpful information, but this occurs serendipitously, and is not the purpose of the work.
